The last couple weeks have been busy as usual. We were able to go out for dinner a couple of nights with friends and family. The projects around the house are nearing an end for this year!!!! YEAH!!!! The upstairs bathroom should be finished by this weekend :~) We have it tiled and the new tub put in so just need to finish with the rest of it! The worst is over :~) I just love it already!
With the weather being so nice, Aaron was able to do some trimming around the house, as well as cut down the huge evergreen in the circle in front of the house. I joke with him that it gets harder for me to breath with every branch and tree he cuts down :~) but he usually replaces them with nicer ones :~)
Aaron's ready to get back into the field for the fall. He ready for some long relaxing nights in a cab vs projects around the house!
My CNA class is nearing an end...for now. I have to wait to do my clinicals until after the baby arrives...doc advised some restrictions so the instructor informed me I'd have to wait for the safety of me and the babe. I'm bummed I can't just get it overwith but the extra time this weekend is going to be great to finish other work for my anatomy class :~) FUN FUN!
We had a great surprise on Sunday, Abby and Mike had their baby.....a boy! Nolan Bryce. Both are healthy and doing well. He was 9 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches long!!!!!! He has a head of hair and looks just like his daddy! He's a mini-mike we've been told :~)
Aaron's been battling a bad head cold for the past 5 days and now I'm starting to come down with it so looks like we may have to wait longer before we can meet the little guy so we don't get him sick!
Hope everyone is doing well! I'll post new nursary pics and bathroom pics this weekend!
~Chow~
So I figured Aaron and I better get in on this since it's so fun to read everyone elses!!! Our first Blogger Page!

Work, Work, Work!
Just catching up for the last couple weeks. Seems like Labor Day was forever ago already...but just last weekend. Our original plans changed from heading to the State Fair and enjoying a night relaxing at a hotel to staying home and working on the house. We managed to get quite a bit done and also had some time for fun. My sister, Bailey and I got a pedicure done and went out for supper one of the nights. Aaron and I spent some time out at my parents visiting and had supper on Sunday night. We met some friends out as well both Saturday and Sunday. Aaron and I visited a friend of his from college, Nicole from Truman. It was great to finally meet her and her son. Her boyfriend met up with us later as well. We had supper and they reminiced about college days...too funny stories, I learn new things every day :~) The weekend was non stop with adding studying into that. I've slowly learned that I don't learn the same way I used to in college...I could watch a movie, drink a beer, chat on the phone and visit with roommates all while studying and still comprehend what just crossed my eyes. Now, the slightest distraction and I can't remember anything about the last page I read! (I think it's partially the baby too!)
The week days went by like usual. We basically finished the nursery!!!! Vickie ( Aaron's mom) is going to wax the floor for us then I'll post a pic next time. I've been studying all weekend and Aaron has been an absolute saint! He has basically been working on the house by himself....Les and Adam have been over to assist as well. We went out for supper last night with a big group of friends. It was nice to see everyone together. It's been awhile...like a year for one of the couples! We ate at a new bar/resturant in Balaton. Actually was quite nice...great atmosphere, you wouldn't expect.
Looks like it'll be another fast week again. Won't be too long before we'll be posting baby pic's! Make life a little more interesting! Hope everyone is doing well :~)

Finally the basement is done!
This week went by fast! With help from Les and Vickie (Aaron's parents) Aaron finished painting the basement and laying the carpet. We were able to move things down stairs from the office to the new office so to get a start on the Nursery. We were both busier than we thought so we are still moving stuff downstairs yet. Last night we primed the wanes coating for the baby's room and will start painting the actual room tomorrow! I think once we just get it to an empty room it will go by quickly! Doc said as long as it's well ventilated I can paint....so finally I can feel like I'm doing something!! The bathroom is yet another story...once again, the vanity top had to be reordered...for the 4th time! Maybe I'm not meant to have a new bath?
Anyways....last Friday we went to an anniversary party for a couple of friends of ours at the lake. The weather was great as well as the company! Aaron's already planning a fun anniversary party for us....i didn't say anything....his brother Adam did...'need to buy a ring first :~)' First things first...or in our case...baby then first things first :~)
My parents were out of town last weekend so their dog Rudy stayed the night Saturday. He's a golden retreiver but surprisingly he and otis are buddies.
I officially started my classes to work toward my RN degree on Monday! Very part time for the first year and will take more on starting next fall. We figure between the baby and working full time....we'll see how this year goes :~) But, I'm planning to have my LPN by June 2010 and my RN June 2011! Isn't there a statistic that says we change careers 8 different times in our lives? This will be #2 and I don't want a #3 unless it's called retirement :~)
Otherwise...tonight we have my nephew Blaine's last supper, he's leaving for college tomorrow! I can't beleive he's already that old! He's just like his auntie...he's attending St.Cloud State University. The rest of the weekend will be spent working on the house and studying (wow...never thought that would happen again!).
Hope everyone had a great week and has an even better week!

In a nut shell
Where to begin! It's been about 2 weeks since the last blog so I'll catch up quick. We (meaning Aaron) are working on painting the basement at this time...planning to be done by sunday so we can lay the carpet sunday afternoon! Then we can move the office and extra stuff downstairs to begin on the nursery and my bathroom!!! I am really excited! We have the paint for the nursery as well as her furniture set and bedding set....pink of course :~) We are sort of at a stand still as far as my bathroom goes due to our vanity top/sink having to be reordered for the 3rd time!!!! So this last time they put a rush on it and it should be in by Monday at the latest!
Last weekend was the annual Girl's Weekend with my college girlfriends. Mel decided to host this time around but first I headed to Krista and Presten's for Friday night. Krista and I spent the night catching up and made it a later night considering we were up early Saturday...Vada is an early riser! Presten made a great breakfast for us and Jaxson opened his early birthday gift before we headed out shopping. Jaxson and Aaron share the same birthday...easy for me to remember both this way :~)
We surprisingly ran into our friend Kimmy at Motherhood Maternity so we all shopped together and did lunch before making it to Mel's. This baby shopping thing is really fun! I love that we know she's going to be a girl so I know exactly what to pick out! Such cute stuff!
Erin was at Mel's when we got there. We all cought up for a while then headed out for supper and desert at this amazing little cafe in Uptown! It was soooooo delish!!!!! We spent the rest of the evening at at comedy club laughing having a good time. Before taking off Mel made blueberry pancakes for us...yum yum!
On the way home I stopped in Mankato at both Home Depot and Menards to get more things for the house. I was ready to go postal when I finally figured out what I wanted and what was going to work and headed home!
Sweetcorn was waiting for me when I got home for supper! I love this time of year!
Hope everyone is doing well! I'll post pictures probably this weekend :~)

August Already!
It's been another busy week and a half! Aaron returned home from New York Friday evening. I wanted to post some pics from the trip, however we're waiting for the pics from one of the guy's camera. They had a great time and were able to watch the Twins vs Yankees at Yankee Stadium as well as the Mets play too. Aaron says there are just people everywhere! The subways wasn't his cup of tea...very hot and crowded...so he bused or taxied it the rest of the time. They went to Time Square and a David Letterman show as well as a great comedy club one of the nights...he said that was one of the best parts! Flights went well and he arrived at my parents by 7:00 pm Friday night to join in the Johnson Family Reunion/Auntie's b-day party just in time.
It was great to see much of the family again. We're growing so much that's it's hard to get everyone together so looks like it will be Christmas again before seeing everyone. Sounds like it'll be at the Currie Bowling Alley this year...I better brush up before then to get my form back :~) I think there were like 20 kids under the age of 8 there! Pretty soon we'll be contributing to that number :~)
Saturday we decided to go to Sioux Falls to find some baby stuff. We ended up finding the bedding we liked so that is on it's way to our house...they didn't have any in stock so it was ordered in. We also got lucky and found the nursery set we liked last weekend too, so I'm heading to Le Sueur to get that this afternoon.
We should be able to start painting the basement and laying the carpet by the end of next week. We have the "princess pink" paint for the nursery too so we'll start on that next :~) Everything seems to be coming together.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It's a girl!!!
We had out ultrasound this morning....and it's a GIRL!!!! Everything looks healthy from her 10 little fingers to her 10 little toes! There were about 8 pictures we got to take home with us :~) She weighs about 11.5 oz right now and measures about 2 days further along than what my due date says...so either the 8th or the 10th :~) Not much difference! Wow, it really makes everything feel even more real than before! Super excited! I'll get a pic posted tonight or tomorrow morning.
We have been busy continuing to work on the basement. We finished all the sheet rocking yesterday and are hoping my brother-in-law is going to tape and mud this week sometime (or at least get started). It looks sooooooo much better. I can't wait to see how it's going to look after it's finished :~) We are learning as we go. Mike thinks by the time we are finished with all our house projects he'll be ready to build a house and everything will be perfect for he and Abby!
I also had Abby's baby shower this weekend (Aaron's little sis). It was fun to catch up with the Miller side of the family as well as watch Abby open her fun gifts. Everyone was like "Is this making you even more excited??!!" And yes it was :~)
Aaron left early this afternoon on his guys trip to New York. He is spending the best of the day in Mankato, then they are all heading to the Cities to stay tonight, then fly out in the morning. I sent the camera so I'm sure there will be some interesting photos to see when they get back! He's planning to get back later Friday evening. So if anyone is going to watch the Twins vs Yankee's Tuesday night...look for Aaron!
Well, stay tooned. I'm planning to post an ultrasound pic tonight or tomorrow!

4th of July Festivities!
Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since the last blog...Need to find more time to keep in touch!
The last couple weeks have been busy still. I was in another golf tourny with Aaron's brother Adam and our friends Billy and Mike. Aaron wanted to golf between work and helping with a benefit for a friend he works with, he thought he should help with those instead. It rained all day and we were all soaken wet, but we had a great time!!! My face hurt from laughing and smiling the whole time!
We have continued to work on our basement, not without a little play first :~) July 3rd we ate out with our friends Tracy and Matt then off to the Currie Street dance. Another late night for this one....we decided that hopefully that was the last 2 am I would have to see for a long time! We had a great time though. I was able to catch up with my girlfriend Erin that I haven't seen for nearly a year already!! On the 4th we went back to Currie to watch some friends in the volleyball tourny then out to Mom and Dad's for the rest of the day until after fireworks. We boated and swam with the kids. My niece and nephew, Bailey and Breylan water-skiied (Brey gave it a good shot but just couldn't get it done). This is Bai's 2nd year of skiing...she is improving! It was fun to sit around and chat with the family and watch fireworks after dark.
Saturday and Sunday were spent working more on the basement. Aaron and Mike (Aaron's sister Abby's boyfriend) worked on studding and setting up the electrical work. There has been a huge improvement! I'm excited to see everything when it's done!
That's it for now. Hope everyone had a great weekend of the 4th! Chow for now :~)
